Senior Elastic Search/Open Search Developer
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior ElasticSearch/Open Search Developer with over 6 years of IT expertise. This role requires a strong background in ElasticSearch (ES) with the ability to work independently on complex data management and search optimization projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- ElasticSearch Expertise: Leverage 4+ years of hands-on experience with ElasticSearch (ES), including index configurations, query optimization, and API development to power external applications.
- ELK Stack Management: Apply advanced search queries and features using the ELK Stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana) to manage and optimize search functionalities.
- Data Ingestion & Processing: Design and develop robust data ingestion pipelines from disparate custom data sources into ElasticSearch, ensuring the data is accessible, accurate, and up-to-date.
- API Development: Enable API-based data consumption from ElasticSearch to external applications and write efficient queries to extract data for use in visualizations or reports.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Build reports using APIs that leverage ElasticSearch and ensure that data is ready for visualization in external dashboards or applications.
- Search Engine Refactoring: Perform search engine refactoring to improve the efficiency, performance, and scalability of ElasticSearch implementations.
- Technology Integration: Work with technologies such as Node.JS, Redis, and PostgreSQL to develop complex data ingestion, analysis, and visualization pipelines.
- Data Quality Improvement: Implement data-quality improvement methods to address the completeness, accuracy, and availability of data ingested into ElasticSearch.
Required Skills:
- 6+ Years of IT Experience: A solid foundation in IT with 4+ years of hands-on experience working with large and diverse data sets.
- ElasticSearch/ELK Stack Expertise: 2+ years of direct experience working with the ELK stack, including proficiency in ElasticSearch, Logstash, and Kibana.
- Data Management: Expertise in developing solutions that support complex data ingestion, analysis, and visualization from disparate data sources.
- Search Optimization: Strong understanding of ElasticSearch index configuration options and efficient query writing for high-performance data extraction.
- API Integration: Experience in enabling API-based consumption of ElasticSearch data by external applications, building reports, and visualizations.
- Programming Skills: Experience working with technologies like Node.JS, Redis, and PostgreSQL in data processing and pipeline development.
- Data Quality Assurance: Ability to design and implement scripts to improve data quality, ensuring accuracy, currency, and availability.
